Always check that the horsebox operator or driver of the vehicle that you are hiring holds a current certificate of competance and that they are fully insured.
When hiring horse transport ensure that your horse is prepared for loading when the horsebox arrives, especially if you are sharing the transport.
Always take a haynet filled with fresh hay, water container and bucket and maybe a feed if your horse is going to be travelling on a long journey.
